As Neil and Emma marked a decade together and five years engaged, the anticipation for their special year was palpable: "We wondered what could make it more special - sure, let's celebrate with a wedding."
With the date set and the venue secured at the Old Rectory in Killyman by November, the announcement to their families in December ensured that their Easter wedding in March was eagerly anticipated and meticulously planned.
While planning their wedding, Neil was determined to find the perfect gift.
Their shared admiration for Terry Bradley's art provided the answer. "Since we used our engagement funds to buy our first hand-embellished TB piece, Neil thought another artwork from the gallery could be the perfect present! After visiting the gallery multiple times, he kept thinking about 'The Kiss,' and he knew it was the one when he couldn't get it out of his head."
When Neil surprised Emma with 'The Kiss', emotions ran high. "It was perfect! I couldn't believe I had got another Terry. He reduced me to tears. And then I panicked. Do we even have a wall big enough? We might have to move house!"
Neil's newfound admiration for Terry Bradley's art continued to grow. "Since then, Neil has arranged another TB piece. He's becoming quite the fan!"
Now proudly displayed in their home, 'The Kiss' holds a cherished place. "It was such a special, thoughtful wedding present. It will never date, we can switch it from room to room or even from house to house. It's currently on the wall in front of our bed, and we love looking at it. We see new things every time!"
As they cherish this artwork, capturing their love and commitment, it serves as a daily reminder of the beautiful memories created along their journey together. "It's perfect!"
