Flash Tattoo Event

Flash Tattoo Event

On Saturday 3 and Sunday 4 November 2018 the Terry Bradley Gallery will be buzzing with the sound of tattoo artists creating unique Bradley designs on a select number of lucky participants. This event has been organised to mark one year since the opening of the gallery on High St. Bangor. The tattoo artists have been selected for their amazing creativity and experience of recreating Terry Bradley designs into tattoos. Over the course of the two days Kerri O’Sullivan (Tatt House, Belfast), Brian Tipping (Eye Candy, Bangor) and Joe Mullan (Joker Tattoo Studio, Belfast) will set up a temporary studio in the gallery where people are invited to watch.

Terry, who is well known for his own body art commented, “Many people who I’ve met in the gallery tell me that my work has inspired their own tattoos and I’m always honoured when someone asks me if they can use my work in this way. So I thought it would a great way to combine our one year celebration with a flash tattoo event. I have designed six images that can be re-created by one of these brilliant tattoo artists over the weekend. These images will be unique to this event and I hope that people will enjoy the spectacle of watching the artists at work”

Each of the tattoo artists have a unique style and each will display their own creativity at this flash tattoo event. We met up with the artists recently to find out a little bit more about them and their work…

Kerri O'Sullivan - from Tatt House, Belfast

Kerri O'Sullivan - from Tatt House, Belfast

Kerri began her career with drawing pencil portraits about 4 years ago and since then she has went on to develop her tattoo career with her wonderful colleagues at Tatt House Belfast. Kerri mainly focuses on black and grey realism, including portraits of well-known actors, celebrities and of course Terry Bradley art! Kerri has worked on Terry and she is making quite an impression on the tattoo community.

Brian Tipping - from Eye Candy, Bangor

I’ve been tattooing for ten years now and I set up Eye Candy Tattoo Studio 7 years ago and haven’t looked back since. I work alongside Rana Parkinson and Scott Lowery who are as both passionate about what they do as I am. I enjoy all styles of tattoos and buy into the saying “variety is the spice of life”. I’ve worked 9 tattoo conventions since 2013 and managed to bring 7 tattoo awards back to Bangor. I love what I do for a living and feel very lucky to get to do this as a “job”.

Joe Mullan - from Joker Tattoo Studio, Belfast

Multi award winning tattoo artist Joe Mullan of Joker Tattoo Studio Belfast, has quite a reputation within the tattooing community. Joe has been creating tattoos for many years and he works alongside a number of highly acclaimed tattoo artists in his recently refurbished his Royal Avenue based studio. We are delighted to have him here for our flash tattoo event as we know he will bring an extra dynamic to the event.

Terry Bradley Tattoo Designs

The flash tattoo designs have been created in collaboration with Terry Bradley, Joe Mullan, Brian Tipping and Kerri O’Sullivan for this unique flash tattoo event. Each design is exclusive to the Terry Bradley Gallery and comes with an authentication to prove that is has been created here.
